I selected it and converted it to a line segment but now when I drag in the top right corner, the previous endpoint moves back with it and results in a weird shape. I believe it has something to do with the fact that its not a line segment anymore but rather a bezier curve, but I don't know how to get rid of those handles so I can just bring in the top right corner endpoint. When using Microsoft Lync or Microsoft Skype Business Edition (Skype for Business 2015, Microsoft Lync 2013 (.1001) MSO (.1001) 32-bit Microsoft Office) on Windows 7, when sharing screens it's not possible to drag and drop symbols from the symbol library into a new drawing. you can just make out the 2 little circles on that top line segment after the ramp. However when I went to bring in the 2 right-corner endnodes, the bottom one came in fine but the top one deforms as it should because of the handles that are still there.

When I went to do the same on the right side, I remembered I had accidentally inserted a node into the top of the segment of the right side. I simply clicked and dragged the 2 left-corner endpoints or endnotes and voila. I decided to shorten the left side, which as you can see worked fine. And if you stop drawing the same path in one of those squares, it will close the path (meaning there are no openings). When you start drawing on one of these handles, this will continue the path, instead of creating a new object. Happy to provide further information or a video if this would help or the situation cannot be replicated.Screen Shot at 10.40.44 AM.png (8.39 KiB) Viewed 6459 times Two tiny, square handles appear at the start and end of the drawn path. When you drag the symbol, the gray outline shows up but the symbol can't be released onto the canvas. We often Skype or Lync each other to discuss situations and like to be able to sketch a situation using symbol libraries we have created. And across earlier versions of Microsoft Lync. This has been consistent behaviour in Inkscape 0.91 across several computers (3 x tested). Start a screenshare of the screen with Inkscape open using Skype.

Sharing screen via Firefox does not affect Inkscape meanwhile. Moving Inkscape to a second screen while sharing the first allows for layer drag / drops on the second screen. This especially concerns moving layers around. While doing a screen share with Skype, Inkscape does not recognize drag / drop events.
